Future Center Tokyo プログラム内で、ICMGの田中をファシリテーターに迎え「ステークホルダーイノベーション(スマート・サスティナブル・シティ編)」をテーマにフリースタイルセッションを実施しました。
■対照的な２都市
スマート・サスティナブル・シティに取り組んだ対照的な都市を紹介します。
その都市は、Sidewalk Labs社が地域の再開発に取り組んだものの、撤退となったトロントと、「I amsterdam」という都市プロモーションが成功したアムステルダムです。
アムステルダムがスマートシティとして成功した理由は、何でしょうか。
都市として、目指す方向性を市民に共有し、市民が街の変化を体感できる、参加していると感じられる工夫がなされているという理由が成功の要因の一つとです。

■日本と他国のスマート・サスティナブル・シティへの取り組み
スマート・サスティナブル・シティの実現には４つのポイントがあり、それぞれのテーマの進化・深化が必要不可欠です。また、世界にはスマート・サスティナブル・シティを目指して取り組みを行う国や都市が存在していますが、各々の取り組み方や特徴は異なります。
日本でもスマート・サスティナブル・シティ実現に向けた取り組みは行われており、プログラム内で紹介しました。しかし、日本は、行政などが保守的な側面もあり、規制緩和や実証実験の実施が難しく、スマート・サスティナブル・シティ化に成功している国や都市から遅れをとっているのが事実です。
一方で、スマート・サスティナブル・シティ化がうまくいっている国としてシンガポールを例に挙げました。イノベーション国家を目指すシンガポールは政府が主導となって、ビジョンを掲げ、イノベーションを実施しています。公共交通機関での実証実験や国が保有するデータに、アクセスしやすいなど、規制緩和や改革への取り組みが柔軟に行われているが故、スピード感があります。地理的にも東南アジアのハブとなっており、事業展開の基点とされています。
ICMGでもスマート・サスティナブル・シティに取り組んでおり、愛知県にて実施した事例を紹介しました。
「Future Center Tokyo」では、社会課題を解決し持続可能な事業を生み出す共創の"場(BA)"として、今後も継続的なビジネススキルの向上とメンバーのネットワーキングを目的としたビジネスアカデミープログラムを実施していきます。
