株式会社ICMG Partners（本社：東京都千代田区丸の内）が運用し、日本空港ビルデング株式会社（本社：東京都大田区羽田空港）、株式会社きらぼし銀行（本社：東京都港区南青山）がLP出資するICMG共創ファンド1号投資事業有限責任組合は、これまでのアジアのスタートアップと日本大企業の共創活動実績を評価され、経済産業省が認定を行う、産業競争力強化法における外部経営資源活用促進投資事業者として認定されたことを、お知らせいたします。
本特例の認定を受けたことにより、グローバルに幅広くスタートアップと日本企業の共創活動を推進し、日本企業の価値創造を支援することが可能となります。また、ICMG共創ファンドは、本特例の認定を受けた国内2例目の事業者となっております。
ICMG共創ファンドは、スタートアップへ投資するにとどまらず、起業家と社会インフラを支える大企業がパートナーとして取り組む共創を後押しするファンドとして、2021年5月に組成いたしました。また、グローバル大手のベンチャーキャピタルと協働して、インドや東南アジアのネクストユニコーンとなるスタートアップへ出資を行い、出資先が有する現地のネットワークや顧客基盤、事業開発ノウハウを活用しながら、日本大企業とのオープンイノベーションを支援してまいりました。
本特例の認定により、アジアの有望スタートアップと日本大企業の共創活動を加速させ、日本大企業の海外進出支援や、日本が有するグローバルに戦える商品・サービスの拡販支援を、より一層強化してまいります。
