本特例の認定を受けたことにより、グローバルに幅広くスタートアップと日本企業の共創活動を推進し、日本企業の価値創造を支援することが可能となります。また、ICMG共創ファンドは、本特例の認定を受けた国内2例目の事業者となっております。
ICMG共創ファンドは、スタートアップへ投資するにとどまらず、起業家と社会インフラを支える大企業がパートナーとして取り組む共創を後押しするファンドとして、2021年5月に組成いたしました。また、グローバル大手のベンチャーキャピタルと協働して、インドや東南アジアのネクストユニコーンとなるスタートアップへ出資を行い、出資先が有する現地のネットワークや顧客基盤、事業開発ノウハウを活用しながら、日本大企業とのオープンイノベーションを支援してまいりました。
