7月22日（土）・23日（日）の2日間、東京・羽田の「HANEDA INNOVATION CITY」において、大田区の小学生と保護者向けに「親子で学べる夏休みイベント」として企画された「川崎重工×きらぼし銀行presents ロボットエンジニアになろう！」を開催。事前に募集した大田区内の小学3～6年生及びその保護者、約70名が参加しました。
この企画は、ICMG、川崎重工、きらぼし銀行の3社が「羽田共創プロジェクト」※1の一環として企画し、STEAM教育を行う独自教科「おおたの未来づくり」の新設に取り組んでいる大田区教育委員会の後援によって実現しました。
川崎重工業は、小学生がロボットの仕事や仕組みを学んだ後に、産業用ロボット（小型汎用ロボットRS003N）を操作して課題に挑戦できる子供向けプログラムを提供しました。

きらぼし銀行は、参加した保護者向けに、子供の進学にかかる教育費用や“人生100年時代”に必要な備えについて学ぶ「金融教育プログラム」を提供しました。
