ICMG Group（東京都千代田区丸の内）は、シンガポール政府の研究機関であるA*STAR Institute for Infocomm Research（以下 I2 Rという。1 Fusionopolis Wy, Singapore）と、日本企業向けの新たなデジタル・ソリューションの開発について、正式にMOUを締結いたしました。
本MOUは、昨今社会課題として顕在化している高齢化や医療上の制約等の問題に対し、ロボティクスやAIの分野における研究開発活動を推進するための戦略的なパートナーシップです。
海外新規パートナーとの共同研究開発および社会実装の機会を模索しているI2 Rと、日本大企業の顧客基盤を持つICMG Groupが、お互いにデジタル／イノベーション／実装のスペシャリストのリソースを共有することを目的としています。
I2 Rは、ICMG Groupと共に、上記を含む社会課題の解決に関心のある日本企業と関係を構築し、日本及びシンガポール双方のマーケットにおいて新たなビジネスチャンスを模索し、イノベーションの創出を支援する予定です。ICMG Groupは今後、I2 Rを筆頭としたデジタル領域に専門性を持つテクノロジーパートナーとの提携を通じて、日本企業のグローバルイノベーションを加速させ、社会課題解決のための価値共創を推進してまいります。
なお、本MOU締結にあたり、ICMG GroupのコアクライアントとI2 Rは既に共同開発についての議論を進めており、ロボット工学分野におけるソフトウェア領域の研究開発プロジェクトが近々にスタートする見込みです。
